CARY, N.C. — The Vanderbilt women’s tennis doubles team of Anessa Lee and Célia-Belle Mohr fell in the consolation semifinals at the ITA All-American Championship at the Cary Tennis Center Saturday.
The duo won five matches during the course of the week at the tournament, including a pair of victories over top-35 opponents. Mohr also earned a first-round win in the main draw in singles action, while Bridget Stammel claimed two qualifying draw victories, and Holly Staff and Valeria Ray each won twice in pre-qualifying. Staff and Ray also teamed up to claim two victories in doubles qualifying before exiting the event.
Vanderbilt will next be in action at the ITA Regional Championship in Knoxville, Tennessee, Oct. 19-23.
