Utes Add Max Relic to 2024-25 Roster


SALT LAKE CITY –  The University of Utah men’s tennis head coach, Roeland Brateanu has officially announced the signing of Max Relic, a Montana State transfer to the 2024-25 roster. 

“After a solid junior career in England, Max has done outstanding in his first year of competition at Montana State in both singles and doubles,” Brateanu said. “He has a ton of untapped potential and we can’t wait to add him to our roster for next season.”

Relic, a London, England native is a transfer from Montana State where he’s played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. He posted a 7-5 singles record as a freshman in 2022-23. This season Relic has put up a 14-13 record singles record this past season and recorded 14 wins in doubles. 

Before his time as a Bobcat, Relic was Top 10 in the UK for under 18s and 16s. He was the Winter National runner up in 16s. 

“I am incredibly honored and excited to be a Ute,” Relic said. “I am looking forward to growing as an athlete and as a person contributing to Utah’s men’s tennis program’s success and upholding values under the wins of Coach Brateanu and Coach van Beurden.”
