LOS ANGELES – The USC women’s tennis team resumes Pac-12 play this weekend as the Trojans host No. 18 Stanford on Saturday and Cal on Sunday at Marks Stadium. Both matches are scheduled for noon start times.

Saturday is Alumni Day at Marks Stadium, with Trojan greats Anna Maria Fernandez-Ruffels and Heliane Steden set to be honored on court after the doubles point is decided. Fans in attendance will receive a complimentary USC women’s tennis “Legacy” shirt.
Sunday’s match will feature a Sprinkles Cupcakes giveaway.
RANKINGS:
In the ITA’s latest rankings, USC was No. 38 in the team category and boasts three ranked singles players.
Freshman Maddy Sieg led the way at No. 5, followed by senior Eryn Cayetano at No. 35 and Snow Han at No. 83. The Women of Troy also boast two ranked duos in No. 22 Cayetano/Sieg and No. 33 Han/Naomi Cheong.
SCOUTING STANFORD:
The No. 18 Cardinal are 9-2 so far this season and enter the match riding a six-game win streak which includes victories over No. 9 Vanderbilt and No. 8 Texas. Stanford fields several ranked players, including No. 12 Connie Ma, No. 28 Angelica Blake, No. 33 Alexandra Yepifanova, No. 84 Alexis Blokhina and the ranked doubles pair of No. 62 Blake and Blokhina. Stanford will look to remain unbeaten in Pac-12 conference play where they are 2-0 and at home where they are 5-0 this season. The Cardinal’s last match was at home against San Francisco back on March 8.
SCOUTING CAL
No. 61 Cal is 4-5 overall this season, including a 3-2 home record and are 1-1 this season in Pac-12 conference play. Cal’s last match was back on March 5, where they posted a 4-3 win over Colorado. Cal is led by No. 40 sophomore Jessica Alsola, who enters the weekend with a record of 18-3 and a nine-match win streak. The Golden Bears also boast the No. 15 pairing of Alsola and Katja Wiersholm. Cal will face UCLA Saturday afternoon before they visit Marks Stadium on Sunday.
