USC Women’s Tennis Continues Pac-12 Play Against Arizona State, Arizona

LOS ANGELES – The USC women’s tennis team continues Pac-12 play this weekend as the Trojans hit the road for the first time in over a month to face Arizona State and Arizona. 
 
The Women of Troy will face Arizona State on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Tempe before traveling to Tucson for a Saturday noon dual against Arizona. 
 
The Trojans, 13-6 (4-2) most recently defeated opponents Utah, Colorado and Pomona-Pitzer during a three-match weekend at home.

RANKINGS: 

In the ITA’s latest rankings, USC was No. 29 in the team category and boasts three ranked singles players. 

 

Freshman Maddy Sieg led the way at No. 6, followed by senior Eryn Cayetano at No. 42 and Snow Han at No. 116. The Women of Troy also boast two ranked duos in No. 21 Cayetano/Sieg and No. 38 Han/Naomi Cheong

 

NOTABLE: 

  • Freshman No. 5 Maddy Sieg is unbeaten in 2023, carrying an 12-0 dual match singles record (Sieg retired one match due to injury). The Trojan rookie leads the squad with 20 singles wins this season. 
  • USC senior Nathalie Rodilosso leads the Trojans in doubles wins this season with 18. 
  • Trojan McKenna Koenig has clinched three matches for the Trojans this season, coming in clutch against LMU, Stetson and Dartmouth. 
  • After nine home matches, the Trojans hit the road for the first time in over a month this weekend. They’ll return home for one final match at Marks on April 22 against Hawaii. 

 
SCOUTING ARIZONA STATE 
No. 30 Arizona State is 12-5 this season, with a conference record of 2-3. The Sun Devils enter the match riding a two-game losing streak, with wins at No. 42 Cal and No. 15 Stanford. Arizona State is undefeated at home this season, posting a record of 11-0. The Wildcats have one ranked singles player with No. 118 Giulia Morlet and one ranked doubles pairing of No. 27 Domenika Turkovic/Patricjia Spaka
 
SCOUTING ARIZONA: 
 
No. 45 Arizona is 14-9 so far this season, with a. 1-4 record in Pac-12 conference play. The Wildcats’ lone conference win came in a 5-2 victory over Washington State on March 17….
