USC Men's Tennis Welcomes Pepperdine to Marks Stadium

LOS ANGELES- USC men’s tennis (5-5) faces No. 51 Pepperdine (3-6) in a non-conference dual at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 7 at Marks Tennis Stadium. 

RANKINGS 

The Trojans enter this weekend as the No. 32nd ranked team in the country (ITA Rankings, Mar. 05). USC currently hosts two-ranked individuals (Mar. 05). Junior Peter Makk is the highest-ranking individual, ranked #50. Sitting behind him is #102 senior Lodewijk Weststrate

USC has one ranked doubles squad with the combination of graduate student Stefan Dostanic and sophomore Oscar Weightman at #65. The brand-new duo featuring the latest member to the Trojans roster is 2-0 overall, as they have yet to drop a match as a pair in duals. The doubles squad already has one quality win: they took down #15 Sharma/Klaassen 6-4. 

 

LAST TIME UP

The Trojans swept the Michigan Wolverines at home, halting their five-match skid. 

Two doubles teams competed for USC at the Pac Coast Doubles Championship collecting three wins and two losses and improving the teams doubles record to 28-28.

 

SCOUTING PEPPERDINE

The Waves come into the matchup ranked No. 51th (ITA Rankings, Mar. 05), as they are 3-6 in the early portion of the season. Pepperdine has one ranked individual: #24 Edward Winter. The Waves have one ranked doubles squad in #64, Maxi Homberg/Edward Winter.
