LOS ANGELES – Coming off a strong weekend at the SoCal Intercollegiate Championships, USC men’s tennis will split up to take on two tournaments across the state as the fall season ends this weekend.
ITA NATIONAL FALL CHAMPIONSHIPS
No. 22 Junior Peter Makk will represent the Trojans in singles competition at the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego this week after securing a spot in the main draw with his performance at the ITA Southwest Regional Championship, October 19-23. This will be Makk’s second consecutive trip to the National Fall Championships following his first round exit last year. The National Fall Championships annually hosts the top-32 singles players and the top-32 doubles teams in the nation in their main draw.
JACK KRAMER CLASSIC
The Trojans will send junior Karl Lee, as the lone competitor to compete in the Jack Kramer Classic starting Friday, Nov. 3 in Rolling Hills Estates, Calif. Lee is fresh off a massive weekend, where he made it to the SoCal Intercollegiate singles championship. The junior ended up in second place as his teammate senior Lodewijk Weststrate claimed the individual title.
Competition will kick off on Wednesday, November 1, at the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego, while the action in Rolling Hills Estates will begin on Friday, November 3. Both tournaments will run through Sunday, November 5.
