Trojans Pick Up Ten Wins at the Men’s ITA All-American Championships

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – A trio of Trojans wrapped up action at the ITA All-American Championship Friday (Oct. 6), winning a total of 10 matches across the week-long tournament in Tulsa, Okla.
 
No. 22 Junior Peter Makk led the way for the Trojans, reaching the round of 16 in singles play and picking up two singles victories. No. 63 junior Wojtek Marek defeated three consecutive opponents in the qualifying rounds and added one more in the main draw on his march to the round of 32 before he had to withdraw. Senior Lodewijk Weststrate battled his way through the qualifying bracket, picking up three victories to secure a spot in the main draw, and added one win in the consolation rounds, as he ended the weekend with a 4-1 record in singles play.
 
In doubles play, Makk and Weststrate were knocked out in the first round of qualifying.
 
Overall, the Trojans leave the tournament with a 10-4 singles record as they look ahead to the Southwest ITA Regionals tournament, which will be held from Oct. 19 through Oct. 23 in Malibu, Calif.
