Trips to Alabama, ITA All-American Championships Next for Women's Tennis


CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois women’s tennis is set to divide and conquer this weekend. Head coach Evan Clark will travel with Kate Duong and Ashley Yeah to the ITA All-American Championships while associate head coach German Dalmagro will travel with Kasia Treiber, Emily Casati and Kida Ferrari to the Alabama-hosted Five-In-The-Fall event.

Event Breakdown

Sat. – Sun., Oct. 1-9 | ITA All-American Championships | Cary, N.C. | Live Scoring

Competing in Tuscaloosa this weekend along with the Illini squad are Alabama, Florida State, UAB and South Alabama. Matches will begin at 9 a.m. CT each morning, starting with singles play.

Friday and Saturday play will kick off with singles matches at 9 a.m. followed by doubles action at 11:30 a.m. Sunday will close with 9 a.m. singles again followed by 11 a.m. doubles.

Over in North Carolina, Duong and Yeah will be competing in the ITA All-American Championships looking to win and advance through the brackets. The pair will compete individually, beginning in pre-qualifying and as a doubles duo.

With the impending inclement weather, the tournament schedule and draws continue to change. Currently, Women’s All-American Championships draws are expected to be announced Friday, Sept. 30. 

Pre-qualifying is currently scheduled for Oct. 1-2, followed by qualifying Oct. 3-4 and the main draw from Oct. 5-9. Singles and doubles athletes have a chance to win through their draw and advance into the next one until eliminated.
