CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers are heating up after starting the season 7-2 and breaking into the ITA Team Rankings at No. 32 in the nation, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday. This is the highest ranking the Tigers have received since February 21, 2023, when they were ranked No. 29.

The Tigers entered the season unranked but have continued to prove their strength. Alex Anttila is coming off a massive singles win against Olympe Lancelot from South Carolina. Anttila defeated Lancelot in the first set 6-3 and fell in the second 2-6. In a super tiebreak set, Anttila ultimately came out on top and won 10-7.

Sophia Hatton has been a force this season, going 7-2 in singles and doubles.

Clemson finished its non-conference play with a 7-2 record, and they prepare to begin conference play by heading to No. 66 Syracuse on Friday, February 20. The match will be at 3 p.m. and will be available to livestream. The Tigers will then head to Boston to face Boston College for their second ACC-Conference match at 10 a.m.
