Wisconsin pushed ahead 2-0 after winning the No. 5 singles match.

After losing the first set, and being down 2-5 in the third, Freshman Aida Eissa came back to clinch the upset victory for Maryland winning the No. 6 singles match.

“I’m so proud of the fight and resilience the team showed today,” said Head Coach Katie Dougherty. “To have all of the matches go to 3 sets and win 4 of them shows the incredible heart of this team.”

“Wisconsin is a great team and to beat them without the doubles point was so impressive… We sent the seniors out the right way and all focus now turns to Big Tens,” said Coach Dougherty.
