Terrapins Advance at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships


CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The University of Maryland women’s tennis team saw four Terps advance to the second round of the singles main draw, and three doubles pairs advance to the second round of the doubles draw on Friday.

 

“Very pleased with our start to regionals. Ema, Oliwia and Tata did a great job qualifying in yesterday.  The team has committed the things we’ve been working and competed really well today.”

 

Danielle Hack, Kallista Liu, Oliwia Orlinska, and Diya Challa won their singles matches, moving them into the second round of the main draw.

 

Kallista Liu and Danielle Hack moved on to the second round of the doubles draw thanks to a bye.

 

Aida Eissa/ Diya Challa and Tamari Gagoshidze/ Katherine Hung both moved on to the second round of the doubles draw with first round wins on Friday.
