Tech set to host ITA Regionals


BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women’s tennis team returns to action this weekend hosting the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships.

The competition, which will run from Thursday through Monday, will be held at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Va. Matches will begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday. 

Dariya Radulova will begin singles qualifying play facing Longwood’s Wiktoria Czerny while Sabina Richtrova takes on Maryland’s Kallista Liu. Charlotte Cartledge will follow in the 11:30 am time slot against Mount St. Mary’s Amber Policare.

Joining the Hokies at the invitational will be student-athletes from: Longwood, JMU, Virginia, George Washington, VCU, Maryland, Howard, Deleware, Liberty, George Mason, Duquesne, St. Joseph’s, Mount St. Mary’s, Richmond, Georgetown, Radford, WVU, William & Mary, Navy, Marshall, and Penn State.

R64 – Doubles

R64 and R32 – Singles 

Saturday, Oct. 22

R32 and R16 – Doubles
