Strom Named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year


TUCSON – Arizona senior Gustaf Strom has been named 2024 Pac-12 Men’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as announced by the league office on Thursday.

Strom is the second Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete in program history. Jonas Ziverts earned the honor in 2023.

Strom, currently pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, holds a 3.68 GPA. He has garnered a number of academic awards in his career, including College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-District honors in 2023, Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll accolades in 2023 and ITA Scholar Athlete status in 2021 and 2022.

On the court, Strom is a three-time All-Pac-12 honoree and was the 2021 ITA Southwest Region and Pac-12 Rookie of the Year. He has totaled 78 singles wins, the fourth-most in program history, and 61 doubles wins, the third-most by a player in program history. He is a three-time Pac-12 Regular Season Champion and has been a part of both of Arizona’s appearances in the Sweet 16. Strom competed in the NCAA Singles Tournament in 2021 and 2022.
