Stotland Adds Schroer as Assistant Coach

TUCSON – Arizona women’s tennis has added Jamie Schroer as assistant coach, Head Coach Ryan Stotland announced on Saturday. Schroer spent the previous season as a volunteer assistant coach with the program.

During her initial season with the Wildcats, Schroer helped coach Reece Carter to All-Pac-12 First Team honors as a freshman. Carter completed the season with a 17-7 singles record that included an 8-0 record at the No. 2 singles position. A native of Tucson, Schroer assisted Stotland to an 11-4 record in home matches and a pair of ranked wins over then-No. 35 Illinois and then-No. 48 Utah.

Schroer joined the Women’s Tennis program as a volunteer assistant coach after playing four years of D1 tennis at Santa Clara University (2018-2022).

Schroer was named 2022 WCC All-Conference Singles and ranked No. 20 in singles for the ITA Northwest Regional Rankings. She played in the top three singles spots throughout her collegiate career. Schroer finished 4-3 in singles play at the No. 2 spot and had a record of 14-10 in doubles for the 2021-22 season. At the 2018 ITA Northwest Regional Championships she advanced to the singles round of 32 and the doubles round of 16. Schroer’s academic accomplishments accompany her on the court as she has been honored three times as a WCC All-Academic team member and four times as an ITA All-Academic team member.

In high school Schroer reached a high USTA rank of 49 and and Tennis Recruiting rank of 61 (2018).
