DURHAM – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced that six Blue Devils were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
Andrew Dale, Faris Khan, Jake Krug, Pedro Rodenas, Teddy Truwit, and Andrew Zhang were all selected to the exclusive list. Truwit earned the honor for the second consecutive season, while Dale and Krug were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the third time in their careers. Additionally, Khan was selected for the fourth consecutive season, while Zhang picked up his fifth-straight honor. Rodenas earned acknowledgment for the first time in his career. It also continues a strong run of academic success, with all nine Blue Devils being named to the 2024 All-ACC Academic Team earlier this summer.
Duke as a team was also acknowledged by the organization after being named to the 2024 ITA All-Academic Team.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letterwinners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must meet the following criteria: have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
