Seven Named ITA Scolar-Athlete

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt women’s tennis team picked up All-Academic team honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association while seven individuals were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes. With seven student-athletes honored, this marks the fourth time in the last five seasons that Vanderbilt has had at least six individuals earn scholar-athlete status.

Graduate students Yufei Long and MaryAnn Rompf, juniors Dasha Kourkina and Anna Ross, sophomores Anessa Lee and Holly Staff, as well as rookie Amy Stevens were all named 2022 scholar-athletes by the ITA.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must boast a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the current academic year while a team must have an average gpa of 3.20 or greater to earn All-Academic Team recognition.

This is the third career honor for Ross and second for both Lee and Staff.
