ATLANTA, GA.—Ryan Seggerman won the clinching match at No. 4 singles as the 11th-ranked North Carolina men’s tennis team beat Georgia Tech, 5-2, on Friday afternoon.
UNC improved to 13-5 overall in 2023, including 5-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference action.
The Tar Heels won the doubles point to take an early, 1-0 lead, then got singles wins from Logan Zapp, Karl Poling and Seggerman to clinch the team victory. Benjamin Kittay also won at No. 6 singles to complete the 5-2 win.
Carolina will return to action on Sunday at Clemson.
