SEATTLE – Amidst the Pac-12 conference schedule, the No. 26 Husky women’s tennis team (12-6) will face San Diego this Wednesday, March 27 at 2 p.m. The match was previously scheduled for Sunday but will now take place Wednesday afternoon at the Nordstrom Tennis Center/Quillian Tennis Stadium.
 
The Dawgs will then hit the road down to Oregon to face the Ducks on Friday at 1:30 p.m.
 
Washington had a weekend off of tennis and are looking to pick up their 11th non-conference win of the year. The Huskies are 10-1 in non-conference action this season, with their only loss coming at the hands of Ohio State, 4-1.
 
The Huskies have two doubles pairs in the rankings. Catherine Gagnon and Melissa Sakar made their season debut in the rankings at No. 54 as the pair boast a 5-1 record.
 
The freshman/6th-year duo’s two most recent wins at No. 3 doubles were against ranked opponents — with victories coming against No. 36 Fry/Piper from USC (March 8) and No. 66 Vagramov/Guichard from UCLA (March 9).
 
Alexia Jacobs and Astrid Olsen are 57th in the rankings, and Jacobs remains the only Husky currently ranked in singles at No. 96.
 
THE COMPETITION – NO. 17 SAN DIEGO
 
San Diego is 10-4 on the season with losses coming against No. 12 California, No. 51 Oklahoma, No. 8 Florida and No. 4 Stanford. Sunday’s match against San Francisco was just postponed due to weather.
 
San Diego’s Mia Mack is No. 47 in the singles rankings. Claudia De Las Heras is tabbed at No. 56.
 
THE COMPETITION – NO. 61 OREGON
 
The Ducks (9-7) are coming off back-to-back losses at home, most recently against No. 41 Arizona (2-4) and against No. 39 Arizona State (0-4).
 
Oregon doesn’t currently have players in the ITA singles or doubles rankings.
