EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 24 UCLA women’s tennis team earned its fifth win in six tries Friday, posting a 4-0 conference victory against Oregon at UO’s Student Tennis Courts.

Fangran Tian clinched her second win of the week and fourth of the season. Also victorious in singles play for the Bruins (11-5, 5-4 Pac-12) were Ava Catanzarite and Kimmi Hance. Hance and Tian also contributed to their team’s efforts in doubles play, where they collected the day’s first point. The Ducks dropped to 11-8 (4-5) with the loss.

Tian and Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer ran their winning streak as a pair to six, getting past Myah Petchey and Karin Young for a 6-4 decision on Court 3. The sixth-ranked tandem of Hance and Elise Wagle then prevailed for the fifth time in as many decisions, downing the No. 77 team of Sophie Luescher and Uxia Martinez Moral, clinching the doubles point in the process.
