No. 24 Wisconsin sweeps DePaul

MADISON, Wis – The No. 24 Wisconsin women’s tennis team (8-2) defeated DePaul (9-6) Sunday, Mar. 3, at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The team played until clinch, adding a 4-0 win to their record.

Rosie Garcia Cross and Taylor Cataldi stood out in their doubles match, dominating their opponent 6-1. In a nail-biting set, Maria Sholokhova and Alina Mukhortova broke their opponent’s serve to climb out of a 4-4 score. The pair came out victorious, winning 6-4 to claim the doubles point for the Badgers 

On the singles court, Maria Sholokhova, Alina Mukhortova, and Taylor Cataldi delivered exceptional performances. Sholokhova was the first to finish winning her match, with two 6-2 sets. Mukhortva followed behind with a 6-0, 6-3 finish. Finally, Cataldi wrapped up the match for Wisconsin, securing the fourth point with her win.
