MADISON, Wis – The No. 24 Wisconsin women’s tennis team secured a victory against Boise State today, Friday, Mar. 1, at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The Badgers grabbed a 7-0 win at home.
In yet another dominating match, Ellison Reynoldson and Xinyu Cai quickly defeated their Boise State opponents, 6-1. Doubles pairing Taylor Cataldi and Rosie Garcia Gross followed up with a strong performance to clinch the doubles point for the Badgers.
In singles, the most notable win came from Xinyu Cai, showcasing her dominance over her opponent with a resounding win of 6-0, 6-1. Alina Mukhortva and Rosie Garcia Gross were quick to follow with straight-set wins. Finally, Ariel Johnson showed total control over her opponent after a tricky 7-5 first set to secure the sweep over Boise State.
