Nebraska Wraps Up Regular Season at Wisconsin


The No. 49 Nebraska men’s tennis team (12-9, 4-4 Big Ten) heads to Madison, Wisc., for its final regular season match of the season against No. 54 Wisconsin on Saturday, April 22 at 12 p.m. CT at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Scouting Wisconsin (11-9, 4-4 Big Ten) 

• The Badgers enter the matchup on a two-game losing streak after dropping both of their weekend matches to No. 26 Illinois and No. 23 Northwestern. 

• Wisconsin has the No. 64 doubles pair in the country, made up of Gabriel Huber and Michael Minasyan. The duo has a 12-12 record this season. 

• With the two teams having the same conference record, this match will have implication in the Big Ten Tournament seeding and post-season competition. 

Series History

Nebraska is 5-12 all-time against Wisconsin. The Huskers have dropped the last seven matches to the Badgers, including most recently in April of 2022 when NU lost 4-3 in Lincoln.  

Huskers Continue to Sit in Top 50 of ITA Team Rankings

Even with Nebraska’s two losses in the state of Illinois this past weekend, the Cornhuskers remain ranked inside of the top 50 of the ITA team rankings for the eighth-straight weekend.

Following the Wisconsin match, the Huskers will head to Bloomington, Ind., for the Big Ten Tournament from April 27 through April 30. More information about seeding and opponents will come the week of the tournament.
