NC State Women’s Tennis Team Ready For ITA All-American Championships


Cary, N.C. – The Wolfpack is prepped for action and ready to compete in its first Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national tournament of the 2022 fall campaign. NC State will send six members to participate in singles and doubles at the upcoming event, which will be held at the Cary Tennis Park from Oct. 1-9.

Rajecki, Smith, Rencheli and Abrams all saw action this past weekend during the College Fall Ranked Spotlight. Rajecki highlighted the tournament by going unbeaten with a perfect 5-0 weekend, resulting in the Wolfpack junior winning the A2 singles draw. 

Rencheli and Abrams, both juniors this season as well, also had successful weekends, with Rencheli defeating two ranked opponents in singles and Abrams winning three of her matches. Smith also made her return to collegiate tournament action during the Fall Ranked Spotlight, winning four of her five singles matches and defeating four ranked opponents.

Following the conclusion of the ITA All-American Championships, the Wolfpack will continue fall action in its home state as it competes in the ITA Carolinas Regional in Winston-Salem, N.C., from Oct. 13-15.
