ATLANTA, GA The NC State men’s tennis team won its fourth consecutive match and second straight in the ACC after a 4-2 road win over Georgia Tech.
With the win the Pack improves to 8-4 overall and 2-0 in league play.

Doubles (NC State 1, Georgia Tech 0)
The duo of Braden Shick and Fons Van Sambeek continue to roll, jumping out to a 6-2 win over Brandon McKinney and Elias Shokry. It was the fourth straight win for the two.
No. 50 Robin Catry and Luca Staeheli locked up the doubles point with a 6-1 win over Keshav Chopra and Rohan Sachdev.
Singles (NC State 3, Georgia Tech 2)
The Yellow Jackets took the first two singles matches to go up 2-1, riding the hot hand of their two ranked players.
No. 34 Andres Martin knocked off No. 75 Rafa Izquierdo 6-3, 6-4 in a showdown of the top two singles. Georgia Tech’s Marcus McDaniel, ranked No. 47, defeated Damien Salvestre, 6-4, 6-1 to put the Yellow Jackets ahead 2-1.
Shick got the momentum back on the side of NC State, getting a ranked win over No. 85 Keshav Chopra (6-2, 6-2).
NC State rounded out the day with wins from Luca Staeheli – over Rohan Sachdev – and Fons Van Sambeek to finish the day.
