Last Time Around – The Wildcats defeated the Ducks for the third consecutive time last April in Eugene, Ore. Despite dropping the doubles point, Arizona battled back to secure the win in singles and put them one step closer to their first ever Pac-12 Regular Season Championship. Before falling to the Huskies in the first round of the 2022 Pac-12 Tournament, the ‘Cats bested Washington 4-1 on the road to claim the program’s first Pac-12 Regular Season crown. If Arizona defeats both teams this weekend, they will be the leader in Pac-12 standings.
In the Ranks – Arizona moved up six spots in the rankings this week to #12 from #18 after closing out #10 USC and #28 UCLA. Three ‘Cats remained ranked in singles and one doubles pair: #32 Jonas Ziverts, #64 Colton Smith, #108 Nick Lagaev and #71 Ziverts/Herman Hoeyeraal. The #48 Ducks have the 12th ranked doubles pair in the country, Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele. As for the #51 Washington, there are two Huskies ranked in the ITA Top 125 singles and one doubles tandem: #103 Cesar Bouchelaghem, #111 Dzianis Zharyn and #51 Bouchelaghem/Zharyn
