TEMPE, Ariz. – Ole Miss men’s tennis received the No. 35 ranking in the final team standings of the 2022 season and Ole Miss women’s tennis placed No. 51 as released by the ITA on Wednesday.
Ole Miss men’s tennis received 22.694 ranking points in the ITA Collegiate Tennis National Team Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point on Wednesday. The rankings are the final standings of the 2022 season following the NCAA National Team Championships. The Rebels moved back three positions from their previous team ranking of No. 32. Ole Miss concluded the season less than 10 ranking points outside of the ITA top-25 (No. 25 Texas A&M, 32.556 points).
Men’s tennis finished the season 16-13 overall. The Rebels lost in the first round of the NCAA Team Championships, 4-2, to Utah on May 6. The Rebels peaked in the ITA rankings at No. 14 this season (March 9).
Ole Miss women’s tennis moved back one spot in the final rankings of the season to No. 51, falling out of the ITA top-50. The Rebels received 12.768 ranking points. Ole Miss women’s tennis did not qualify for the NCAA Team Championships this season.
Women’s tennis concluded the 2022 spring season with a 13-11 overall record. The Rebels roster only contains one graduating season this season, Sabina Machalova.
The Rebels were ranked ninth among SEC schools on the men’s side and tenth on the women’s side.
