Men’s Tennis Hosts Trio of Schools This Weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Oregon men’s tennis will host Santa Clara on Friday at 3 p.m. PT at the Student Tennis Center, and Pacific and Seattle on Sunday.

Pacific and Oregon face off at 11 a.m. on Sunday, with the Ducks and Seattle battling at 5 p.m. PT. All three matches are open to the public.

The 3-1 Ducks look to build on momentum built at the ITA Kick-Off last weekend. Oregon went the distance with a strong Tulsa team and pulled out the victory 4-3 after taking the doubles point and getting key wins in singles from Ivailo Keremedchiev and Jesper Klov-Nilsson. Quinn Vandecasteele clinched it with a 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-4) victory. On Sunday, Oregon nearly took the doubles point before dropping three quick singles matches to give Ohio State the sweep. Charlton, Keremedchiev and Klov-Nilsson were in heated matches when OSU clinched it.

This will be the last matches for Oregon until a big match against Washington is scheduled for February 17 at the STC.
