LEXINGTON, Ky. – Northwestern men’s tennis is headed to the NCAA tournament for the 18th time in program history and second year in row. The Wildcats will travel to Lexington, Kentucky to battle East Tennessee State in the opening round on Friday, May 6 at 9 am CT.
 

Joining the Wildcats and the Buccaneers in the Lexington Regional are DePaul and No. 8 overall seed Kentucky. The winner of each site advances to super-regional competition May 13 or 14. Each super-regional site will feature two teams playing a single-elimination format. The eight super-regional winners will compete for the national championship May 19-22. The event will be hosted by the University of Illinois at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Complex.

 

The Wildcats received one of 34 at-large bids after finishing 19-10 on the season and as the No. 4 seed in the Big Ten West. The ‘Cats were able to cruise past Nebraska in the Big Ten Tournament with 4-0 win before falling to Ohio State in the Big Ten quarterfinals.
