Men's Tennis Competes at the Battle in the Bay


SAN FRANCISCO – Sophomore Constantinos Koshis and senior Max McKennon are in San Francisco this weekend (Sept. 21-24) as they compete in the Battle in the Bay Classic in Doubles and Singles. The Classic is in its 13th year and is hosted by the University of San Francisco and the California Tennis Club.

Results can be viewed here: Results are updated as soon as matches are finished. 

After day one, the power duo won their Doubles match with a final score of 8-4 over University of San Diego’s Iiro Vasa and Lambert Ruland. From this victory, the Sun Devils will advance to the next round of eight. 

Koshis also competed in a Singles match today but fell short after going 6-1 and 6-3 in matches against Inaki Montes De La Torre of the University of Virginia. 

To complete competition on Thursday, McKennon recorded a 6-3, 6-3, victory over Baylor’s Zsombor Velcz. 

Koshis and McKennon will play in San Francisco for the remainder of the weekend.
