Men's Tennis Begins Fall Season at ITA All-American Champtionships


UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Men’s Tennis team is set to travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma this weekend to kick-off their fall season. The tournament will begin play on September 30, and will continue to October 8. The event will be held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, located on the University of Tulsa’s campus and the Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park located in Tulsa, Okla. 

Sam Bossem, Loren Byers, Stefan Simeunovic, and Miko Eala will represent the Nittany Lions, competing in a mix of singles and doubles. Bossem, Byers and Eala will make a return appearance to this tournament.

Bossem, Byers, and Simeunovic will enter the pre-qualifying round beginning on Saturday, Sept. 30. Eala has already qualified and will enter the main draw beginning Monday, Oct. 1. 

Bossom picked up 17 singles wins and 15 doubles wins last season, while Byers collected 14 singles wins and 15 doubles victories. Simeunovic won 10 singles matches and 11 doubles matches a year ago. Eala earned second team All-Big Ten honors after securing 21 singles wins and 12 doubles wins.
