Men's Tennis Announces Schedule for 2024 Spring Season


EAST LANSING, MICH. – Men’s Tennis released its Spring 2024 schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 17, revealing a 21-event regular-season calendar spanning from Jan. 19 to April 20. 

Prior to the start of the season Head Coach Harry Jadun and his Spartan squad will embark on a five-day training trip beginning Jan. 2 in Boynton Beach, Florida. The regular-season will kick off with a pair of home matches on Jan. 19 against Brown and Western Michigan. The Spartans first road series of the season will send them to California where they will play 2022 NCAA Tournament teams Pepperdine and UC Santa Barbara. 

In February, MSU will play host to a double header against Ball State and Boise State on Feb. 2 ahead of home matches against Middle Tennessee and Clemson on Feb. 4 and Feb. 9. The team will again hit the road for a Feb. 16 dual at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn..

Over Spring Break the Spartans will play at the historic Blue Gray Classic in Montgomery, Alabama from Feb. 24-25 and the Arizona State Invite from March 1-3. 

A series of three home dual matches after break sees State first host Cornell, who won in the 2022 NCAA Tournament first-round, on March 10. MSU will then open conference play with home matches against Nebraska and Wisconsin on March 22 and 24 respectively. 

For the first Big Ten road trip the Spartans will head to the Prairie State for duals at Illinois on March 30 and Northwestern the following day to conclude the month.

Back at home, Michigan State hosts Purdue and Indiana on April 6 and 7 for senior weekend before hitting the road for a week to end the regular-season as it will play at 2022 national runner-up Ohio State on April 13, at Penn State on April 14 and at 2022 national No. 7 seed Michigan on April 20. 

The postseason begins with the Big Ten Tournament in Chicago, Ill. from April 27-29 followed by the NCAA Men’s Tennis Championships which will be played in Stillwater, Okla. from May 16-25.
