Liu and Hack Finish with Strong Performances at ITA Sectional Championships


CHAPEL HILL, NC — Kallista Liu and Danielle Hack wrapped up competition at the ITA Sectional Championships.

Both Liu and Hack went 2-2 in singles play, with Liu advancing to the quarterfinals. In doubles the pair went 1-1.

“Kallista and Dani both had great tournaments, they competed side by side with some of the best players in the country and did really well,” said Head Coach Katie Dougherty. “Both showed a ton of growth in their games this Fall and we’re looking forward to bringing that momentum into the spring season.”

The Terps performance fetaured multiple upset victories, with the pair defeating the second seed in doubles and Kallista Liu taking down the fourth seed in singles. Danielle Hack also picked up a singles win over #108 Gabriella Broadfoot.
