Know Before You Go: 2024 Hokie Hi Weekend

Are you ready to experience an action-packed weekend in Blacksburg with Hokie Hi Weekend at Home from April 12-14? Be prepared to fill your calendar with plenty of Tech sporting events, including women’s tennis, softball, lacrosse and football’s annual spring game, presented by PMSI.

Admission to the Hokies’ spring game on Saturday will be complimentary. In lieu of charging for tickets, the athletics department is encouraging fans to support Virginia Tech’s NIL initiatives. Fans can enter the Triumph Spring Sweepstakes for a chance to win multiple prizes, including a VIP trip to the season opener versus Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. Those looking for a bid-based prize experience can participate in The Hokie Way Auction for a wide variety of collector’s items, destination packages and more. Be sure to get involved before the Monday, April 15 deadline.

Tech Athletics’ third annual Hokie Hi Weekend at Home starts Friday afternoon at the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center as women’s tennis hosts No. 23 Florida State at 3 p.m. ET. Admission is free. Following the match, fans can head over to Tech Softball Park and watch the first game of No. 15/16 softball’s series against Boston College. Cheer on the Hokies while enjoying live contests and promotions by In-Venue Host Bailey Angle, and celebrate our hometown heroes throughout the weekend.

Hokie fans are encouraged to attend at least five of seven events during the Hokie Hi Weekend at Home to win an exclusive Virginia Tech prize! Event information and updates are available in Hokie Hi Weekend Central, which is a great resource to help navigate around the athletic village. Check in at the Promotions Booth at each event you attend to earn a stamp, and once fans have five stamps, they can verify their postcard at Hokie Village on Saturday or at any of the weekend’s softball games for the prize. There will be one postcard per person, and the individual must be present to receive a stamp and verify their postcard. Additionally, fans can pick up a free HokieBird sticker at each sport that weekend, with each sport having a different HokieBird sticker, allowing fans to collect them all (4 total)!

Start your Saturday on campus as the 3.2-mile Run in Remembrance will begin with a moment of silence at 9 a.m. to honor and remember the vibrant lives of the 32 students and faculty who were tragically taken from us in 2007. The event’s 3.2-mile loop around the Blacksburg campus begins in front…
