Karolina Pliskova has parted ways with coach Sascha Bajin.
Bajin, also the former coach of Naomi Osaka, guided the Japanese start to her first two major titles. He was also the former hitting partner of Serena Williams.
Bajin started work with Pliskova just prior to the 2021 season. The pair had a successful run together, with Pliskova reaching the Wimbledon final in 2021.
Pliskova is currently ranked 15.
“Even good things something come to an end. I would like to thank @BigSascha for everything he did for me and my team,” Pliskova wrote on Twitter. “It was an incredible time and I learned a lot! Mainly how to be more positive and believe in myself 🙂 One of the best coaches out there, good luck my friend.”

Pliskova also reached finals at Rome and Montreal in 2021 with Bajin at the helm.
After a freak off-season hand injury delayed the start of her 2022 season (Pliskova fell while working out in the gym and broke a bone), Pliskova has only mustered a 9-11 record on the year, with second-round losses at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon.
