STARKVILLE – Noah Tippen is returning home to his alma mater.
Head coach Chris Hooshyar announced Tippen as an assistant coach, along with Taylor Russo.
“I am really excited for Noah to join the staff,” Hooshyar said. “He has a remarkable work ethic, and his reputation supports that. It is a huge bonus to have someone who is thoroughly rooted in Mississippi State. When it comes to working with our players and getting recruits, it is such an advantage for them to see. The fact that he is familiar with the program and loves Mississippi State will come across and be contagious. It is a huge bonus for the program and myself to have someone like that on staff. Noah has lived it and he is a perfect example of how great this place is. He is going to show that to everybody.”
Tippen began his career at State as the volunteer assistant for the men’s tennis team in the spring of 2020. Before he became the volunteer assistant, he was the team manager and racquet technician from 2017-19 while completing his undergraduate degree.
While working with the men’s tennis squad, he was apart of the 2018 and 2019 SEC tournament championships and saw the Bulldogs finish with a No. 5 ranking nationally in 2018 and No. 9 in 2019.
“I’m honored to be able to come home to Mississippi State,” Tippen said. “It’s literally a dream come true to be able to come back to a place that means so much to me and that has given me so much already. I can’t wait to get the message out to recruits about how special MSU and the Starkville community is. I am also pumped to be able to work with Chris and Taylor. There is no one that fits the blue-collar mentality of Mississippi State better than Chris. He has a great history of winning in the SEC and at the national level. I can’t wait to get started working with the two of them and see how far we can take our program. We have everything at our disposal here as far as resources and opportunities and I am so excited to see our players compete at the highest levels of college and professional tennis.”
Tippen graduated from Mississippi State with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, and also received an associate’s degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
