Hokies fall to No. 6 North Carolina in Chapel Hill


Chapel Hill, NC – The Hokies fall in Chapel Hill, N.C. 4-0 to No. 6 North Carolina on Sunday afternoon. 
 
The Tar Heels dominated doubles play as they picked up wins on Courts 1 and 2. The match on Court 3 with Katie Andreini and Sabina Richtrova was left unfinished at 4-3 before they could try to pick up a win.
 
North Carolina clinched the match with straight-set wins on Courts 1, 3, and 5. 
 
Katie Andreini was up 5-4 in the second set but the match was left unfinished after North Carolina clinched. Similarly, Laima Frosch won her first set 7-5 in the tiebreak but her match was called before the second set began. 
 
UP NEXT: The Hokies are at home for their final matches of the season. They will take on Florida State at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 12.
