Heller and Zhang Fall on Opening Day of ITA National Fall Championships


SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Duke’s doubles pair of graduate students Michael Heller and Andrew Zhang fell on the opening day of the ITA National Fall Championships on Wednesday at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
 
Heller and Zhang dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Peter Alam and Justas Trainauskas of Pacific in their opening match of the main draw.
 
The pair will continue to battle in the consolation doubles bracket on Thursday, facing Juan Pablo Valdez Guzman and Carlos Gimenez Perez of Alabama-Birmingham at 3:30 p.m. PT.
