The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 22-27 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, after the conclusion of the team championship, which runs from May 18-20. This year’s event will be conducted jointly with the NCAA Divisions II and III Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships and hosted by the University of Central Florida and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.

Grant returns to the doubles championship for his second appearance after competing in the 2021 NCAA Doubles Tournament with Johannes Ingildsen. For Nefve, this will be his first appearance in the Orange & Blue, but second doubles championship and third singles championship overall. Previously at Notre Dame, Nefve qualified for the singles championship in 2021 and 2022, as well as the doubles championship in 2021.

The lefty graduate student has faced five top-10 opponents and 17 ranked-foes this season, while earning seven ranked victories and two against top-25 players. The Delray Beach, Fla. native has reached the second round of the singles championships the last two seasons.

The tandem of Nefve and Grant has commanded the top doubles position for Florida, taking down nine ranked-pairs, including three in the top-10. Entering the tournament as a 5-8 seed, Grant/Nefve are currently 14-7 overall and went 8-3 in the SEC. In the ITA’s doubles rankings, the pair have been ranked as high as No. 4 and within the top-10 since April 4.
