Glozman Signs With Stanford - Stanford University Athletics

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford’s Peter and Helen Bing Director of Women’s Tennis Lele Forood announced the signing of highly-touted prep standout Valerie Glozman to a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday.
Glozman is currently rated as the No. 2 recruit in the country per Tennis Recruiting and the highest-ranked recruit attending college, with a World Tennis Number of 8.0. She is the winner of back-to-back Easter Bowl titles (2022, 2023), helped Team USA win the Junior Billie Jean King Cup in 2022 and twice competed in US Open Women’s Qualifying (2022, 2023). Glozman is familiar with The Farm, having won the 12U Zimmerman Johnson Tournament at Stanford in 2018.
“Competing at Stanford that year initially ignited my passion for the school and campus, so it’s a cherry on top that I’ve turned my 11-year-old dream into reality,” Glozman said of her decision. “Stanford has this irresistible allure that brings together everything I am looking for. The University’s academic excellence is undeniable, but as a tennis player, joining a team that mirrors my dedication and passion for the sport was equally important. The opportunity to learn from brilliant minds, while also competing at an elite level, is an incredible chance for me to not only grow, but to excel. That’s why Stanford feels like the ideal environment to nurture my aspirations.”
Hailing from Bellevue, Wash., Glozman has been as high as 788th in the WTA singles rankings. She was a finalist at the 2022 18U Billie Jean King National Championships and a semifinalist in 2023. Glozman was also a finalist a 18U National Indoors in 2022. Her older sister, Vivian, played collegiately at Virginia.
