Get Ready for "Break Point" – Netflix to Premiere Heavily Anticipated Tennis Series on January 13

Tennis fans will get a dose of behind-the-scenes action when Netflix premieres its new documentary “Break Point” on January 13, 2023.

Crews followed many of the tour’s top players in 2022, angling in for the type of never seen before footage that propelled the series “F1: Drive to Survive” to instant classic status in the sports documentary pantheon.

Here’s a snippet from the show notes:

“From the team behind F1: Drive to Survive, Break Point follows a diverse group of tennis players on and off the court as they compete in gruelling slams with hopes of winning a final and even bigger dreams of becoming world number one. Break Point gets up close and personal with top players on the tennis circuit through an entire year travelling across the globe for all four Grand Slams and the ATP and WTA tours.”

Players, pundits and fans are upbeat about the show’s potential.

“I think it’s going to make a great show, and I think we gave them some good content,” Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime said, according to the ATP Tour. “For me the main goal is that it can help tennis. It can help tennis overall. That would be amazing if we could see a rise in the number of fans and attention for our sport by airing this series.”

Auger-Aliassime, Paula Badosa, Matteo Berrettini, Taylor Fritz, Ons Jabeur, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Nick Kyrgios, Casper Ruud, Aryna Sabalenka, Maria Sakkari, Sloane Stephens, Iga Swiatek, Frances Tiafoe, Ajla Tomljanovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas will all be featured in the documentary, which premieres just before the Australian Open kicks off, on January 13.

"I just want to make fans see what we are living every day to remember we are just human beings after all,” said Jabeur, dubbed the “Minister of Happiness” by friends. “I want them to see what we go through every day with the practices, with the preparation, with all the stress. You can feel and just know that we’re human beings and just support us no matter what."
