CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Reese Brantmeier and Fiona Crawley earned All-America status in both singles and doubles as announced by the ITA on Monday afternoon. Elizabeth Scotty and Carson Tanguilig were also named ITA All-America in doubles.
Carolina’s two double tandems were tied for the most of any other Division I women’s program.
Reese Brantmeier becomes the 24th player to earn All-America honors under head coach Brian Kalbas.
Elizabeth Scotty has now been named an All-American four times during her North Carolina career. Crawley and Tanguilig each earned their second All-American honor and Brantmeier collected her first All-American honor as a Tar Heel.
The honorific “All-American” title is given to student-athletes that earn a top 16 seed in the NCAA Singles Championship, advance to the round of 16 in the NCAA Singles Championship, or finish in the top 20 of the final ITA Singles Rankings. The All-American status is awarded to doubles teams that earn a top-eight seed into the NCAA Doubles Championship, reach the NCAA Doubles Championship Quarterfinals, or finish in the top 10 of the final ITA Doubles Rankings.
