MADISON, Wis. – Four members of the Wisconsin women’s tennis team (Taylor Catalid, Ava Markham, Alina Mukhortiva, Charmaine Seah) earned CSC Academic All-District honors following impressive performances on the court and in the classroom.
The 2022‐23 Academic All‐District Women’s Tennis Team, selected by CSC, recognize the nation’s top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution and be at least a sophomore or above.
Catalidi owns a 3.79 GPA as a policial science major, Markham boasts a 4.0 GPA in her education leadership and policy analysis masters program, Seah maintains a 3.78 GPA studying computer sciences, and Mukhortova owns a 3.5 GPA as a consumer behavior and marketplace studies and information science major.
The Badgers finish the season with an overall record of 20-7, hitting 20 wins for the first time since the 1996-1997 season, and won an NCAA Tournament match for the first time since 2002.
