Kayla Wilkins and Parker Fry Claim CSC Academic Honors


TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Women’s Tennis players Kayla Wilkins and Parker Fry were named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams for their impressive performances on the courts and in the classrooms. 

Wilkins is studying Information Science and Technology at the University of Arizona’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences with a current 3.84 GPA. The senior Wildcat has found herself on the Pac-12 Honor Roll the last two years in a row, was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2022. Playing in between the No. 3 and 4 lineup spots, Wilkins accumulated a dual singles record of 10 wins, including a three-setter victory against UCLA’s Sasha Vagramov. 

Arizona sophomore Fry is a Pre-Business major at the school’s prestigious Eller College of Management with an outstanding 3.92 GPA. She was also named a 2022 ITA Scholar-Athlete and part of the ITA Academic Team that same year. Fry ended her second season with 10 dual wins in both singles and doubles. She played doubles alongside Wilkins rotating between the No. 1 and No. 2 lineup spots, and together they garnered a 6-4 dual record. 

The two Wildcats are now eligible for a CSC Academic All-American award which will be announced on Wednesday, May 31.
