Florida Tennis has Seven Named to ITA National Rankings


The ITA has announced the top tennis players in the Nation with three Gators making the singles list and two different pairs on the doubles side. 

GAINESVILLE, Fla. –The Division I ITA Collegiate Tennis National Singles and Doubles Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point for November 2023, have been released, featuring several Gators. The National Rankings include the Top 125 Men’s and Women’s Singles Rankings and the Top 60 Men’s and Women’s Doubles Rankings.

In the singles category, Emily De Oliveira is the highest-ranked Gator at 23. Her win-loss record currently stands at 12 wins and four losses with a combined 25.61 points. Carly Briggs is next in the ITA rankings sitting at 38, overall. Briggs has a five and four record and a combined 16.71 points. Rounding out the top 125 is Rachel Gailis ranked 63 with eight wins, two losses, and a total of 10.17 points.

On the doubles chart, the Gators had two teams make the top 60 rankings. Leading Florida was the dynamic freshman duo, Malwina Rowinska, and Qavia Lopez ranked at 38. The pairing recorded a seven and four record with a combined 14.52 points. Not far behind Rowinska/Lopez, ranked at 55 is Bente Spee and Sara Dahlstrom. The more veteran doubles pair currently holds a four-and-three winning record and a combined 11.15 points.

The Gators will start their 2024 spring season at the Freeman Memorial in Las Vegas. The tournament will start on January 11.
