TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team faces in-state rival Miami at home Sunday.
The Seminoles are 6-4 on the season, which includes 1-1 in ACC play, and have earned a perfect 4-0 record at home. Florida State enters Sunday’s match ranked 40th in the national team rankings.
Freshman Millie Bissett is the reigning ACC co-Freshman of the Week. She earned four total wins over the previous weekend and is 9-2 overall in the 2022-23 season.
Anna Arkadianou also was 4-0 this past weekend, teaming with Bissett for two doubles victories and claiming two wins at No. 1 singles, and is 87th in the national singles ranking.
Senior Vic Allen leads the team with a 7-2 record in the spring season and is currently on a three-match winning streak.
Miami comes into this weekend’s matchup with a 5-2 record and is ranked 30th in the nation. The Hurricanes are coming off a 5-2 loss to Syracuse last Sunday. Redshirt sophomore Alexa Noel leads the team with a 5-2 record and is No. 8 in the national singles rankings.
