Florida Earns NCAA Tournament Berth, Faces Oklahoma State in First Round


The Gators received the No. 2 seed at the Arizona Regional Championship.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men’s tennis team was selected to the NCAA Division I Tennis Championships for the 32nd time in program history, as the 64-team bracket was revealed on the Selection Show Monday night.
 
UF (14-13, 5-7 SEC), ranked No. 20 in the nation, will travel to Tuscon, Ariz. for a first round matchup against Oklahoma State (13-13, 0-5 Big 12). The winner of the match will face the winner of No. 14 seed Arizona (21-6, 6-2 Pac-12) and Boise State (21-7, 3-3 Mountain West).
 
The Gators will be coming off a two-week hiatus entering the NCAA Tournament after going 1-1 at the 2023 SEC Tournament in Auburn. After starting the tournament with a 4-1 win over the host team then-No. 22 Auburn, Florida fell to the top seed, No. 4 Georgia 4-0 in the quarterfinal.
 
The winner out of Tuscon will face the winner out of the Ohio State Regional Championship, which involves No. 3 seed Ohio State, East Tennessee State, Louisville and Texas Tech.
