CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – A pair of Illinois women’s tennis players have earned spots to compete in the ITA Women’s All-American Championships from October 1-9 in Cary, North Carolina.

Kate Duong and Ashley Yeah will play in the pre-qualifying singles round from October 1-2. The duo is also currently the third alternate for pre-qualifying doubles as of September 19

In total, 96 individuals will play in pre-qualifying singles, which is broken down to 48 regional representatives (four per region), 10 freshmen/newcomer qualifiers (based on ITA list), 36 at-large selections (based on preseason national rankings) and two wild cards.

Pre-qualifying doubles features 32 pairs with 24 regional representatives (two per region), six at-large selections (based on preseason national rankings) and two ITA wild cards.

Until ITA All-American Championships action gets underway, the Illini will host the UTR College Circuit (September 24-26) and travel part of the squad to the Alabama Invite from September 30 – October 2.
