Duke’s Duo of Beck & Morra Advance at Nationals


SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Duke doubles tandem of Chloe Beck and Cameron Morra opened action at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Fall Championship on Wednesday with a victory at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.

The Blue Devil duo registered a 6-2, 6-1 win over 47th-ranked Daria Kuczer and Eleonora Molinaro of Tennessee to advance to the round of 16.  Beck/Morra improve to 12-2 on the season.  

In singles action, Beck dropped a 4-6, 2-6 decision to seventh-ranked Connie Ma of Stanford, while Morra fell, 3-6, 3-6, to 49th-ranked Savannah Broadus of Pepperdine.  Both Morra and Beck will next compete in the singles consolation bracket.
