DURHAM – No. 11 Duke men’s tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 37 Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon at Ambler Tennis Stadium.
The Blue Devils fall to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in ACC play, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 10-3 and 1-1, respectively.
How It Happened
- Faris Khan and Teddy Truwit paired up Sunday and kicked off doubles action with a 6-2 victory over Rohan Sachdev and Elias Shokry on court three. The Yellow Jackets answered on the top court with a 6-2 win by No. 32 Keshav Chopra and Marcus McDaniel over Garrett Johns and Pedro Rodenas. With the doubles point coming down to the outcome on court two, No. 21 Michael Heller and Andrew Zhang posted a thrilling 7-5 come-from-behind win over Krish Arora and Andres Martin to earn the point.
- Despite dropping the doubles point, Georgia Tech rebounded to claim all six singles matches to steal the win.
- Arora jumpstarted the rally, recording 6-2, 6-4 victories over Jake Krug on court six to knot the overall score at 1-1.
- Richard Biagiotti and No. 22 Martin finished back-to-back on court four and one following their 6-3, 6-2 and 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 wins over Connor Krug and Johns, respectively, to extend the lead to 3-1.
- Sachdev then clinched the match for the visitors on court five after he defeated Alexander Visser in three sets. Visser earned a 6-2 victory in the first frame but dropped the next two 6-3, 6-4.

- The Blue Devils saw their 16-match consecutive home winning streak come to an end on Sunday.
