Ducks Top Card in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. – Finishing the regular season of the Pac-12 slate on the road, No. 17 Stanford men’s tennis was upset by Oregon, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon.

Stanford claimed the doubles points with wins in the top two positions. Arthur Fery and Neel Rajesh combined for a 6-1 win in the second slot while Aryan Chaudhary and Filip Kolasinski picked up a 6-4 win over a ranked duo in the top spot to give the Cardinal a 1-0 lead in the match.

The momentum failed to carry into singles action, as the Ducks picked up four first sets and managed to win all four matchups in straight sets. Nishesh Basavareddy and Chaudhary won their first sets in matches that went unfinished.

Stanford returns to action next weekend at the Pac-12 Tournament in Ojai, California.
